Professional Courier, Inc. was founded in 1980 to provide reliable small-package delivery within the Richmond metropolitan area.  Following incorporation in 1984, PCI has made several acquisitions of Richmond-based companies including Commonwealth Courier (1990), Blanton's Package Delivery (1993) and Fast Lane Courier Service (1999).  PCI is proud to be the only courier certified as a Woman Business Enterprise by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise.

  • All full-time PCI drivers utilize Nextel Push-To-Talk with wireless data services, enabling instantaneous contact via voice or text message.
  • Dispatch details are given through a driver web portal, accessible through their Nextel device, ensuring greater accuracy over verbal dispatching.
  • Each Nextel phone is GPS-capable, allowing dispatchers to track drivers' positions on a digital map, enabling more efficient routing and more accurate ETA estimates.
